Board Changes
Vyke is pleased to announce the appointment of Jørgen Peter Rasmussen as Non-Executive Chairman with immediate effect. Jorgen is currently a Non-Executive Director of Vyke. Tommy Jensen is stepping down from his role as Chairman in order to concentrate, as Chief Executive Officer, on growing the partnership base on Vyke's newly launched platform for Vyke Mobile to the business and residential segment globally. Vyke further expects to expand its board with one to two additional Non-Executive board members during Q1 2010.
Kim Berknov will become Chief Operating Officer and will, together with Tommy Jensen, take joint responsibility for the implementation of the group strategy with the aim of Vyke becoming the leading mobile VoIP operator globally. Kim will continue to be responsible for the daily operations.
Jørgen Rasmussen is the Executive Chairman of Seawell Limited, a leading offshore oilfield service provider. He has held a number of senior executive board positions in major international groups and has extensive global experience in IT and general technology, as well as in the oil and gas industries.
As President and CEO of Schlumberger Smart Cards (now Gemalto) he was responsible for establishing the group as a world-wide leading producer of SIM, banking chip and IT/security cards, with revenues of approximately $US800 million. He held similar positions at Atos Origin, the multi-million pound international IT services provider.
Over a 25 year period with Schlumberger, he filled top management positions in various parts of the world including Europe, Australia, Africa, Asia, and the USA.
